Welcome to 8th grade and physical science! This is my 18th year teaching in Tennessee and my 11th year at Meigs. I previously taught biology, physical science, ecology and anatomy & physiology at the high school level. I received my bachelor's degree from MTSU and earned a masters degree in biology in 2009 from Washington University in St.Louis.
I live in East Nashville and enjoy being part of the 37206 community. I have 2 awesome kids that call me mom. My daughter is a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University and returned home to work as a civil engineer for Bell Construction. My son just started his educational adventure and is in 1st grade. In my time away from Meigs
I enjoy running, reading, watching Netflix and doing all things Nashville with my family.
I am thrilled about another year at Meigs and the opportunity to challenge
the students that enter Room 127. Meigs is filled with incredible teachers,
administrators and the best PTO in the state. I am so grateful for all the
support from the PTO and parents as we work together (it takes a village!) to provide the best for our capable learners.
Meigs Mission Statement~
Our mission is to provide a rigorous liberal arts curriculum that will allow our capable learners to perform at high standards of academic and social development.
